stockholm - a summary

i know i know, i need to just wrap up my whole trip so far.. but i have bits to tell about denmark, and i only have half an hour here in the stockholm central station on the internet (unless i buy more)(i might...), and i just want to yammer.

saw aaron off this morning to his flight in helsinki, and not a moment too soon. 
love him to death but he´s like a brother, so we fight and bicker and i want to kill him.
and three days with just him is waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much.  like whoa.
so i was happy to be on my own again for today.  i totally prefer to travel alone. egads!

wandered over to gamla stan to a couple shops, thought i lost my phone at the hostel, finished up my shopping (not much to do about the phone at that point anyways), walked back to the hostel, found my phone in my inner pocket, felt like a dumbass, remembered that i had forgotten to get something in gamla stan, hauled my suitcase through the snow back over there, got what i needed, hit the train and came downtown.  did i mention the snow?  there is alot of it...

from there, i put my suitcase in a locker and went shopping!  like i need to... maybe i need help.  therapy!
im out of control.
bought a couple tops at h&m cause they were cheaper in sweden, got talked out of trying to scam h&m and the cheaper swedish prices by amalie (she is one smart cookie), and hit a shoe store.  i need to have new shoes.  shoes, not boots.  so what did i get?  boots.  and shoes.  and runners.  but all on sale! honest!
three pairs of shoes, two being leather, for 1000 sek, which works out to about 150 cdn, or about 750 dkr (is that the abbreviation for danish kronne?).  whatever.  a good deal!  go me!

now to see how it all fits in my suitcase and still remains under the weight restrictions.  i have a (strong) feeling that i will be paying extra on my luggage going home.  oh well!  you only live once right!?

after that, i went to a pizza hut for a yummy/greasy lunch, as i hadnt eaten all day long.  bleh.
i also needed to use a washroom as it costs 10 sek to use them in the train station.  and its not like they are nice or anything.  seriously...

and now i have about an hour and a half before my train leaves.  at least its direct to copenhagen, and i can try sleep.  hope i have a window seat.. i should check that... hmmm i *think* it is.. fingers crossed!

i do have pictures from yesterday on my camera, but not on this here public computer.
we went to the vasa museum to see a 300+ year old restore warship.  definitely cool!

but all that later.  when i do real update-type posts with pictures.  once i can have a good sleep and a good shower.
i am soooooo looking forward to being back at my danish home.  i sure my danish family is happy to have me back!  taking over the living room and such as i do... (sorry!) (only a little.. cause i do love it...)
and tomorrow sarah comes to join me in copenhagen for 5 days!  so exciting!!!!!

ok.  thats all i have.  for now...
i could nap right now... or have a morfar?  yes thats it... a morfar.... mmmmmm...

oh AND

i bought a new camera today. should come on wednesday.
my mom works at a camera store so i get her discount.



also, as life would figure, i went to look online for the bra i bought in hawaii last year, and its discontinued. why do they always do this? just when you like something, they cut it off.
grrrrrr. now i have to hunt online to find my size.
for those who even care, i have small tits, so its not always easy to find a bra that fits right.
why discontinue them!!! boo.

dave was here

well, dave just gave me another one of his visits, and i actually got to hang out with him alot this time!

i met up with dave and nicole thursday night for some drinks and food.
deandra and melissa met us there as well.
after that dave and i came back to my house where we proceeded to drink gin and watch highlander. (dont even get me started on that one..)

friday was a mega long day at work, and i definately dont need to talk about that.

saturday i got up and met dave downtown.
and here is our day!

it was actually pretty tasty.

more drinks were had, and hang outs. then bed.
all in all, a pretty good (and pricey!) weekend.

Dressew!

Kate and I are headed downtown today to check out Dressew for some Halloween bits and maybe just general craftiness. I love Dressew. I'll take some pictures. It's an amazing place.

After that, I may just come home and be crafty. Maybe hit the shop on my street that is only open when I am at work during the week. Jerks.

Tonight, a friend from work is having a party and I am attending. Turns out, through the small world that is, that the guy that rents his basement suite, is the guy that tattooed my stomach and pelvis ages ago. Haven't seen Trevor in like, at least 3 years. Should be interesting. I wonder if I shouldn't make that area.. presentable. haha!

Last night I was supposed to hang out with my friend Cam from work, and check out a new game, Dead Space. His girlfriend was going to join us for pizza. Well, the game itself is super creepy. I couldnt watch long, cause third person and first person shooter games make me car sick. But his girlfriend came over, and his roommate came home, and a buddy came over. And then suddenly Cam and the gf went to his room. Then she comes back out and announces that she has to have a serious talk with Cam and are we staying or leaving. It was very odd. I didnt see Cam again last night. Good thing I am friends with Steve, his roommate, as well. Could have been even more awkward. I hope its all good.

I also hope its not cause she was hanging out with me. I know Crystal as well, and have hung out with them both a few times, and her and I talk. But Ive found in the past that girls get jealous or threatened when I am around. And I am not after anyone's man. I can't think of a worse trait in a guy, than leaving their current girl for me. Who's to say they wouldn't do that to me down the road? For that simple fact alone, I do not EVER try to steal boyfriends/husbands. EVER. What sort of monster am I? I just get along with guys better, and Im usually friends with alot of guys. But nothing is going to happen. Ever.

It's how I got nicknamed Homewrecker back in Calgary. Three long term relationships dissolved around me, while I was just there. Guilt by association. I had nothing active to do with any of it. Maybe I just turned up for them when things werent good. If there isnt trust there to begin with, maybe thats what happens? I dont know. But it sucks. And Ive just realized that Ive gone on this big rant about something I have speculated. So, I'll just stop now and see what Cam has to say about it all.

Now, Im going to get ready to catch the bus for some crafty shopping!!!

Sunday outings

Got up this morning and had another Danish lesson with Julia this morning over Skype. Hopefully we can keep that up more often now. We will speak again Tuesday night (Wed morning for her).

After that, I met up with Dave and Jael, and we walked down to the flea market to check stuff out. Dave bought some records, and Jael got some fun star trek thing. I picked up these two pins for $7. I didnt notice until I got home that the horses mane is broken, but I think it looks just fine. I filed the jagged edges down and its good to go now!












On my way back to my house I stopped at a craft store just around the corner and bought some different sizes of glass pieces, some magnets and some glue. I am going to cut out some pictures from some books I got from work and make magnets! I hope.. I made two already, the trail ones.. One is of a tree by Ayers Rock in Oz, and the other is of the great wall of China. I'll do something with this dock picture when I perfect my art..
