ok, so.
i want to get a new tattoo.
a friendship tattoo, one could even say.

the issue is, this tattoo needs to be behind the ear.
it just does. trust me.

now, i already have one tattoo behind each ear.
i dont like them much anymore.
but.
they are both also friendship tattoos.

(we are not even going to discuss the circle i am going in here)
(in fact, we wont even acknowledge that anymore)

i am still friends with girls whom i share these tattoos with.
red star outline with jill (hate the star)
skull and crossbones with shauna (haaaate the fact that i have a skull on my head)

so, the question is, is there a way to cover them up and explain away what ive done?
granted, i dont see either very often, but i know they would both be hurt.

its not that i dont love them both to bits anymore, i just dont want those tattoos there.
and we arent that close still anyways.

what do i do??

question me all you want. i need to discuss this...

maybe move the ones behind you ears, and put them somewhere else? so that way, you still have the friendship 'design/tattoo/whatever', just in a more sensible place.

so cover them up,and put the star and skull and crossbones somewhere you have space (you dont look like you have much space though!!!). then put the new, rad one behind your ear :) xxx

I'm not the right one to ask, don't get me wrong, o love friendship tattoos, but i think behind-the-ear-tattoos (some types of them anyway, cause there are different types) are kinda lame.
I'm just gonna assume that you got yours way before it became a trend (and that of course makes you not lame) but i definitely don't think you should cover them up and make them bigger.
Behind-the-ear tattoos seem to me like neck tattoos for people who are scared to get neck tattoos.
And what if you someday might like to get actual neck tattoos, and you've gone even bigger with the ones behind your ears, and there's no room for the design you want?
That's a lot of what-ifs, but that's the point of the discussion, right?

As for the girls, they may be hurt at first, but they'll probably understand.
I don't think you can just move a friendship tattoo, although it's a good suggestion, cause it's not just about having them, it's about getting them too.
But maybe you could all get new ones together later?
Oh, i don't know, i can barely figure out what to do about my own body!!

it wont necessarily be bigger.. just in place of one of them.
the one i want is something that i personally love, and just happens to be a common thing with my friend.
and its amusing too.

i thought about moving them as well... but i dont know. i wonder if they would get over it...

i dont think i see enough of the behind the ear tattoos to think of them as a trend at all. never actually heard anyone say that.. and i certainly dont regret having anything there.. i just dont like the designs at all anymore.

this new one i would get on my own, even if nicole didnt want to do it... i like it that much.

but its nerdy. =)

Is it a phaser?
Uh, tell us!
Sounds fun anyway!
Maybe it's just a trend here in Europe then? it's big here, that's for sure.
I'm sure your other friends would get over it, i would if one of my buddies needed to cover/move a friendship tattoo.

and amalie, you seem to be alot more centered and rational than the skull friend, and alot less emotionally abusive than the star.
wow they sound like great people hey? =D
