the drive was fine, just slow. in my personal opinion, he drove alot slower than was needed, but certainly the speed limit was too fast for our city car with its rain tires. roads were packed down but not sanded, and it blew snow in our face the whole way. took a bit longer, but we didnt even see any accidents!
it looks alot like how calgary normally looks in the winter. or edmonton for that matter. on a regular winter day. now, for kelowna, its nuts. this just doesnt happen here. and its still snowing right now.
i took this picture at about 230pm. that is the second time that guy had shovelled his walk today. he needs to do it again now. i have more pics but we only put that one on my grandmas computer. more when i get home. it got down to -7 celcius today too. its -10 now at night.
tomorrows drive should be interesting. we'll have more weight in the car but it will be just as slow. fun times! at least it wasnt as bad as i thought it would be, and we had some good talks.

Wow, that is nuts for Kelowna! I'm jealous of those temperatures though! It's -31 celsius here right now and I think it's only supposed to 'warm' up to -26 celsius today. I might have to bust out the long johns if I go outside.
yeah we saw on the news that a lart part of saskatchewan is getting down to -40 to -55 with the wind chill today! brrrrrrrrrr!!
Yeah, it's nuts. I had to go boost a friends car this morning, and the plastic bag my booster cables are in, froze solid and cracked open after being outside for a couple minutes.
I'm just glad I have a ushanka for my head and a wool coat to keep me warm in this weather. Have to head back out into again shortly. Woooooo...
